KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Charles Nieves
Wow! That pretty much sums up my reaction to the concert. I'll give a bit more of a detailed review now.

1) Skid Row. What a bunch of crap. They didn't have a lead singer, they have a lead screamer. This guy is up there shouting all the lyrics to the likes of 18 & Life, Piece Of Me, I Remember You, etc. Unfortunately for the Skids, he alone didn't kill the show. They were simply awful, especially when they tried to turn Piece Of Me and Makin' A Mess into thrash metal songs, totally butchering them in the process. Suffice it to say, thank God they weren't out there for long.

2) Ted Nugent. I can't say I'm terribly familiar with Mr. Nugent's work, but he did put on a nice show. 1 word of warning, he certainly speaks freely, & quite a bit of what he said can be considered offensive.

3) KISS. Now here's what I came to see. The band had a cohesion to them that was simply incredible. I can't recall any song being performed badly at all. The only real mistakes were a) when Paul was introing Heaven's On Fire & said it came out in 1994 & b) when Paul started swinging the mic around, he almost clocked Ace in the head. The whole show was definitely worth every penny. I will definitely attend once they finally announce when they are hitting MSG. For the record, the setlist is below....
