KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Gregg
This is the fifth time I have seen Kiss and second time with all four original members. First time was during reunion tour a few years ago. Skid Row played a short set. The new guy sounded pretty good and they put on a good show. Ted Nugent put on a bad show. You could hardly hear his vocals, when you did he just ranted about politics. He did crack me up with Reno & Jesse Jackson songs during Kiss My Ass. His last 4 songs were good and his current drummer, veteran Tommy Aldridge kicked ass. Kiss put on a great show. Gene's voice is going and Peter Criss is slowing down but the energy was there. Paul sounded good and Ace played great. He played Lick It Up really good. I was glad glad they played songs from the albums that Ace & Peter were not on- Lick It Up, Love It Loud, Heaven's On Fire and Pete and Ace performed them well. Psycho Circus sounded great and I enjoyed 2000 Man. Ace played bits from other songs during his amazing solo- Hard Times, Parasite, NY Groove and I feel he played better than when I saw him play during the first reunion tour. Highlights also included God Of Thunder- amazing Gene flies, Do You Love Me-sounded good and I looked the retrospective film of the band on the screen and Paul swinging near the audience during Love Gun. I would have liked Peter's solo during 100,000 years to be longer and the band should give him a song to sing during the set- Hard Luck Woman or even Hooligan. Kiss should also mix up the set list and play different songs when playing the same city several nights. Overall I rate this Kiss show at about 9 out of 10. Definitely worth checking out.
