KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Ryan Gerhard
This show was unbelievable!! I am 17 years old and I have een a fan of Kiss since I was about 3. I have been to 12 Kiss concerts. (With and w/o makeup. I have to say this was the best BY FAR! I had 2nd row seats right in front of the stage. I arrived at about 6 because (unlike many people who have posted) am a big fan of Skid Row. I have to say that it was sad watching Dave not be able to move over the stage because of his broken ankle. I also have to say that Johnny Sollinger was not the greatest replacement for Sabastian. At the beginning he could hit all the notes but by the end of their 7 or 8 song set he couldnt touch any of the highs in 18 and Life or I remember you. Ted came in and played unbelievably. HE really seemed to enjoy playing. The whole set produced only hits. I think the part that most people who were at the show will remember is now the most controversional sentence down here in South Florida. "If you can't speak english, get the hell out of our country!" Of course, with all the foreigners down here, that was not taken well by people who CAN'T SPEAK ENGLISH. The crowd seemed to like it. Right after he said it the crowd erupted applauding him. I think the ending of Great White Buffalo was cool when he shot the arrow through his guitar. Now to KISS. As I said before, the show was awesome. From the beginning when they descended and DRC to the End of RARAN they really seemed to enjoy themselves. PAul and Gene sounded great and Ace and Peter played their hearts out. I enjoyed hearing I love it Loud and Heavens ON Fire as well as Lick It Up. I agree with many people that they couldve replaced them with older songs, but ITS THEIR FAREWELL TOUR! On a farewell tour bands should play songs that encompass ALL of their career. The stage was perfect and the crowd of 15000+ was really into the show. All of the stunts went off great and no one had any problems. I am attending many more shows on this tour and ! I hope they are all as good if not better than this one.
