KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Jon Price
This was the Kiss concert I waited to see since 1976.

My folks had a rule that we weren't allowed to see concerts until we were 16. So, I missed out on the Love Gun, Alive II concerts at the LA Forum. All of my friends described it to me in great. And I scanned my older sister's tour program endlessly.

When the Dynasty tour came through town, I was old enough to go to a concert and got my chance to see them. It was actually a big let down. Gone was the industrial looking stage and lords of the underworld costumes of the Love Gun days. Instead, we got some white wedding cake looking stage with Liberace Vegas showgirl costumes. I wanted the God of thunder and instead I got some RuPaul rejects. The only thing missing was the can can dancing.

I hung in there through the 80's never dreaming that things would improve. Eventually, there was a little flicker hope during the Revenge tour. But never in my wildest dreams did I think KISS would give me the opportunity to live through my 14 year old fantasies.

Unfortunately, I missed the reunion tour due to family matters. When I heard about the farewll tour, my younger brother ( he never got to see them in makeup) and I deceded that there was only one resolve our unfullfilled adolescent dreams. I must fly to Florida from Utah so that we could bang our heads together.

Completely worth it. Best concert I have ever been to. Thank you, Thank you Thank you.

Glory, Hallelujah.
