KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Reid Fontaine
What an amazing show.

First off, I have to tell you ...Skid Row should hang 'em up. Dave and Scotti are so into their music and I love them for it (I used to be a huge fan)but there is nothing left. Rachel Bolan (Bass player) has been in better bands (Prunella Scales) and should go back to them. Their new singer can't touch Baz....and if he can't come close, he shouldn't even try...it was embarrassing.

Second, Ted Nugent. Take your leftist ranting bullshit and stuff it up your old tired ass.

Now....I wanted the best...I got the best...the Greatest Band in the World...KISS!

From the first notes of Detroit Rock City with the 4 guys getting lowered from the rafters to the endless streams of multicoloured tickertape during Rock and Roll All Night...it was pandemonium! We managed to weasel into some good seats, just about 25 feet away from the stage on the left side. Very good vantage point to see all the action. You could really tell they were all there to have a good time. It is as though they really want to make some memories for themselves too. Gene played around with Ace alot...and his bass tech. Paul was in top form. I have to see Ace's singing was quite off...but hell...who really cares? There were roughly 11,500 people in attendance which I believe was a sell out.... or damn close, at least. My personal favs were Lick it Up, Detroit Rock City Heavens on Fire.

Gene, Paul, Ace, Peter.... We will never forget you. After this show...how could we?
