KISS visit to Cadillac celebrated 50 years later with special events and merchandis

CADILLAC, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) — The city of Cadillac is celebrating the 50th anniversary of a legendary visit from the iconic rock band KISS, which took place in 1975.

The band’s music famously inspired the Cadillac High School football team to turn their season around, and what could have been a forgotten footnote has evolved into a lasting legacy.

Lindsey Westdorp, marketing manager at the Cadillac Visitor’s Bureau, said, “Anytime you can have an event in your town where your visitors can mix with your local people, it’s a really good experience for both, and so I think that’s what this is going to be.”
