The rest, as they say, is history. In addition to writing great tunes and some wicked performances on stage, Paul Stanley has also taken to Facebook to show off his new car. Finished in white over black wheels and red brake calipers, the C8 Stingray also boasts a rather tasteful interior combo.
“For years, the auto industry said ‘buy American’ and I said ‘when you manufacture world-class cars, I’ll buy them.’ The 2020 Corvette is beyond that,” said the frontman. “It raises the bar with cutting edge technology. It’s a machine I’m proud to drive and it’s drop-dead gorgeous. I love mine!”
Notice the lack of a lower front splitter? This means we’re probably looking at a non-Z51 version of the Stingray, which is somewhat curious given how popular this option is among customers. Speaking of which, Chevy has leveled up the pricing of the performance package to $5,995 for the 2021 model.
Carbon Flash side mirrors and five-spoke trident wheels are also featured, and even though Stanley is a little critical of American cars, this isn’t his first Corvette. He also had/has a one-of-one 2015 model year Stingray SEMA show car that he purchased from GM after owning a 2014 model Stingray.

Why Angel never toured with their Casablanca label mates KISS:
“Gene, Paul (Stanley), and Ace (Frehley) came to see us at Bogies in D.C. because KISS was in town on tour. They fell in love with us and thought we were great. So we were shopping around for a record deal and our manager suggested Casablanca. He mentioned how KISS was also on the label. We told him how KISS had come and seen us and they loved us. So our manager called Neil Bogart to set up an audition. Neil thought it would be a good idea for Angel to open for KISS in Anaheim so he could see us in action. He said he would call us back to confirm. So Neil calls back and says that he will sign us sight unseen because Gene Simmons said ‘under no circumstances will Angel ever open for KISS’. All of us were good friends though on the Casablanca label. I love those guys, they’re great!”

ACE FREHLEY ANNOUNCES NEW COVERS LP, ORIGINS VOL. 2
“SPACE TRUCKIN'” – first single and video out today
Ace Frehley, KISS co-founder and 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, continues his reflections on a lifetime in music with Origins Vol. 2. No stranger to cover versions throughout his musical history — having recorded, rebranded and repossessed such notable nuggets as ‘New York Groove’, ‘Do Ya’ and ‘I Wanna Go Back’ over the course of his eight previous studio efforts — this new collection presents a thoughtful and exciting selection of songs that inspired and helped shape the legendary guitarist. Foremost of importance to the original Spaceman is delivering an album his fans will enjoy, but one where every song also has a place in his life`s jukebox. Ace comments, “I just thought about the songs that I used to play in clubs when I was doing other people’s material. I went through my album collection and thought about the songs that influenced me the most. It`s a pretty well-rounded record and I think the fans will enjoy it.”
Origins Vol. 2, featuring guest appearances by Robin Zander (Cheap Trick), John 5, Lita Ford and Bruce Kulick, is a well thought out, but not over-thought, album. For Ace, keeping things organic is an important part of crafting an album`s atmosphere: “I just let it happen. Things evolve when I start doing these records and I try not to plan too much ahead. I like spontaneity. It`s the same way I write guitar solos.” Ace Frehley gets the last word with a direct message to his fans: “I`m happy with the end result and I hope the fans like it as well.”
