DETROIT, MI – Tonight’s KISS/Motley Crue show at DTE Energy Music Theater has been postponed to Thursday because of a truck rollover accident that reportedly took place this morning in northwest Ohio.

Tour officials said in a press release that a tour pyrotechnic truck flipped on its way to Detroit and “spilled our gear all over the freeway.”

The newspaper also reported on its website that the crash occurred “around 8 a.m,” and amazingly didn’t injure anyone or damage the tour’s equipment inside.
The driver of the trailer was reportedly transported to a hospital following the crash, and that none of the band members were on the trailer.
“All of the equipment that was salvaged was put on a trailer and sent off with the band,” Cridersville police chief John D. Drake told the newspaper. “It will interrupt two shows for them, they said. But the show will go on.”
Tickets for tonight’s show at DTE will be honored Thursday night; refunds are available at the point of purchase.
Motley Crue’s Nikki Sixx expressed gratitude on his Twitter page for the tour crews’ safety and shared several photos of the accident.

“Thank god our driver is  ok,” Sixx wrote.
The bands released a statement on the matter: “We owe you the show you expect to deserve, so we’ve jointly decided to give our crews the 24 hours necessary to piece everything together to make it possible.”
Sixx posted on Twitter that post bands will give it their all Thursday night for the DTE crowd.
“Both KISS-CRUE will have 100% of our shows tomorrow,” he wrote.
Drake told The Lima News he was unsure as to why the trailer overturned.
The northbound lanes on I-75 were reportedly closed for about a mile and a half and open again shortly after 11 a.m.
Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil posted on Twitter that, in addition to the crash, two of the tour’s trucks broke down during the trip to Detroit.
The Wapakoneta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, according to The Lima News, is expected to have an official accident report later tonight.
After Thursday’s rescheduled DTE show in Clarkston, KISS and Motley Crue are expected to perform Friday night at the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre in Tinley Park, a suburb of Chicago. ‘
