Kiss backstage: Allegan couple shares photos, experience of meeting Paul Stanley at the Allegan County Fair

ALLEGAN, MI —
The longtime members of the Kiss Army — and Kiss Navy — had prime spots at Tuesday’s Kiss performance at the Allegan County Fair. They also paid for backstage access to meet Paul Stanley and receive a signed guitar.

Angel and Jeff Justice also agreed to share their thoughts and photos from last night’s concert and meet-and-greet with Stanley.

Here is what Angel Justice had to say via email this afternoon:
“We literally had the time of our lives. Everyone had a blast. About halfway through the MC set, I got the phone call from Paul’s guitar tech and he scheduled the meeting for 9pm.

When the time came, his tech, Fran, brought back to the KISS tent where other members of their staff was there to meet us. We immediately noticed the beautiful Paul Stanley Starfire Washburn – adorned with guitar picks, all set up for the show. As we eagerly waited for Paul to come over to the tent, we were pleasantly surprised when Eric Singer decided to come out to see us. The first thing Eric said was “Hey I know you guys from the show a while ago” (meaning the KISS expo in Indianapolis back in April of this year). HOW COOL WAS THAT for Eric to remember our faces after meeting hundreds of people and playing in front of thousands of concert goers since then??!!

Dressed in full gear, he playfully twirled a drum stick as he stood and chatted with us for a bit – and we were able to have pictures taken with him! He even asked to see the newspaper article that their staff was talking about. Well. Then. Here. Comes. Mr. Stanley! He seemed to happy to be there with us. He asked to see the article as well. We’ll never forget his words when he looked up from the paper, “You know, there are KISS fans and then there’s you guys!” We chatted with him about meeting him on the KISS Kruise and Jeff thanked him (and his band) for bringing us together and how this was all such a dream come true. Even though, we’re sure, he’s heard a million and one stories in his career, he listened to everything we had to say and made us feel like rock stars! We asked if he wouldn’t mind autographing our news article.. his sentiment reads “True Fans Forever, Paul Stanley”. As we departed, we all wished each other a great show. We were then led back out into the crowd to join our group for the show.

Ya know what was really cool… we really did feel like celebrities. As soon as we got to the fairgrounds, people were approaching us saying things like “hey there the KISS couple!”, or hey I saw you two in the paper.”
